First appearance: i the fairy houses
As a supporting figure in Tragedy at Ravensthorpe, Tommy Marden is not background color—the story leans on what they do once the chapter opens.
Foss's valet, briefly questioned and told he will be needed at the inquest.
Marden is the sort of neighbour who knows every path, lock, and hiding place around Ravensthorpe, and his testimony about slipping against a shattered display case becomes one of the investigation's first fixed points. Sir Clinton's reconstruction of the blood-drops seems to confirm his story, yet the very precision of that confirmation invites the reader to wonder how much of it Marden arranged in advance. His presence turns the museum from an abstract crime scene into a place where local knowledge and local loyalties matter.
