First appearance: the secret of sarek
As a major figure in The Secret of Sarek, Don Luis Perenna is not background color—the story leans on what they do once the chapter opens.
Captures Vorski, hangs him, and delivers a lecture on the God-Stone; demands François's location in exchange for Vorski's freedom.
Perenna enters the orbit of Véronique's investigation as an ally whose competence is matched only by his opacity, offering help without fully accounting for his interest. He operates in the space between the official search for Vorski and the private griefs of the d'Hergemont family, a man whose motives remain deliberately unreadable. His presence sharpens the question of whom Véronique can trust as the island's secrets multiply.
