First appearance: the heart of princess joan
As a supporting figure in The Necklace of Princess Fiorimonde, Gervaise is not background color—the story leans on what they do once the chapter opens.
A suitor who refuses to touch the magic necklace and later becomes the servant of Prince Florestan.
Gervaise serves Princess Joan with a shrewdness that outpaces the courtiers around him, noticing what others overlook. When Joan's mysterious suitor creates confusion and danger, he becomes the practical ally she can rely on. His resourcefulness shows that in a world of magic and rank, plain wit and loyalty can still turn the tide.
