Nostalgia and the Past

The narrative is steeped in a longing for a simpler time, with the narrator addressing readers who have left Mariposa and now dream of returning, highlighting the bittersweet memory of a lost home.

The entire chapter is a meditation on longing for the past, as the narrator and the club members dream of returning to Mariposa and recall their youth.
