Feemy Evans

In The Showing-Up of Blanco Posnet, Feemy moves among the posse and the saloon crowd as a woman whose past gives her little standing but plenty of knowledge about what men do when they think no one is watching. She is drawn to Blanco and resents him in equal measure, and her testimony about the night in question is tangled with her own bruised pride and desire for attention. Her unreliable but indispensable voice helps establish the play's atmosphere of gossip, judgment, and frontier justice before the moral reckoning arrives.
