How does Peter and Wendy develop the theme of Gender Roles and Domesticity?

Peter and Wendy by J. M. Barrie develops Gender Roles and Domesticity across the chapters the companion marks for this theme.

Wendy is expected to play the mother and homemaker in Neverland, while the boys engage in adventures, reinforcing traditional Victorian gender roles and the idea that domesticity is a female duty.

Wendy manages the home and children, while Peter plays the distant father; the chapter reinforces traditional gender roles through their domestic play.
