First appearance: maiwa s revenge
As a supporting figure in Maiwa’s Revenge, Sir Henry Curtis is not background color—the story leans on what they do once the chapter opens.
Participates in the shoot but leaves early; returns for dinner.
Sir Henry moves easily between Brayley Hall and the Grange, a sportsman whose estate and easy competence mark him as one of Quatermain's trusted circle. He is the kind of man who leaves a shoot early to meet his agent about a farm shed, then returns for dinner with Captain Good, dependable in a way that makes him useful when plans turn serious. His presence grounds the opening chapters in English normality before the story plunges into Maiwa's vengeance.
