**Role:** supporting

**Also known as:** Colonel Krechovski

## Snapshot

A colonel whose rank, nobility, and lands all came from Pototski patronage, he commands the registered Cossacks with a loyalty that will be tested to the breaking point.

## Who they are

Krechovski is a seasoned soldier and a client of the Pototski family, indebted to them for everything he has. Pototski trusts him absolutely and sends him with six thousand registered Cossacks against Hmelnitski, believing his influence over them is decisive. That trust is the hinge on which the campaign's early disasters turn, making him a figure to watch rather than merely obey.
