First appearance: vi found dead
As a supporting figure in Unnatural Death, Nurse Forbes is not background color—the story leans on what they do once the chapter opens.
The first nurse, described as charming and capable, who became engaged to Dr.
Nurse Forbes is the professional witness at the bedside, prim, precise, and quietly proud that her patient confided in her rather than in Miss Whittaker. She recalls Miss Dawson's fear of poison, the power of attorney, and the careful instructions about sending for a lawyer — details that both settle and unsettle the case. Her testimony matters because she is the one person who can say what the old lady actually wanted, and what she was afraid of, in her final months.
