Modernity vs. Tradition
How Tragedy at Ravensthorpe develops Modernity vs. Tradition.
The story contrasts modern forensic methods (fingerprints, telephones, otophones) with old-world traditions (family curses, fairy legends, ancestral estates), showing a tension between progress and the past.
