# How does Tragedy at Ravensthorpe develop the theme of Family Legacy and Inheritance?

> Tragedy at Ravensthorpe by J. J. Connington

## Answer

Tragedy at Ravensthorpe by J. J. Connington develops Family Legacy and Inheritance across the chapters the companion marks for this theme.

The Chacewater family's history, including the mysterious Fairy Houses, a family curse, and the inheritance of Ravensthorpe, plays a crucial role in the story, influencing motives and secrets.

The Fairy Houses are maintained per a clause in every will, reflecting family duty and ancestral tradition.

The Chacewater family's museum and Maurice's protective stance over the collections underscore inheritance and legacy.

Michael's reluctance to probe Maurice's actions reflects his concern about marrying into the Chacewater family.
