## Who they are

Mevrian holds Krothering in her brother's absence, a Demonland noblewoman whose composure is a weapon sharper than any sword. When Lord Gro delivers Corinius's shameful proposal, she dismantles him with a memory of sitting on his knee as a child in Goblinland, then refuses with a threat no one doubts she means. Her steadiness under siege makes her the moral counterweight to Witchland's scheming court.
