## Snapshot

The voice that frames the play's world, measuring dreams against the steady grind of coachbuilding and the pull of old rebellions.

## Who they are

This presence hovers over the workshop and the road, weighing Thomas's blunt pragmatism against Father John's mysticism and the beggars' hunger for a leader. It registers the tension between a trade that lasts generations and a dream that can upend a life overnight. Its watchfulness sets the tone for a story where the ordinary and the visionary keep colliding.
