## Snapshot

Marguerite Blakeney's elegant, smiling brother, whose revolutionary politics make him a renegade in English society and a liability to the sister who loves him.

## Who they are

In London drawing rooms Armand St. Just cuts a charming figure, yet he is a Frenchman of republican sympathies moving among the very aristocrats who toast the Scarlet Pimpernel. His sister Marguerite must smile and flirt while her heart aches, and Armand's divided loyalties sit uneasily beside the splendid little band of heroes who form the League. His presence keeps the peril personal, forcing the reader to wonder how far blood ties can stretch before they snap.
