# Kitty Hamilton — The Sport of the Gods character guide > Kitty Hamilton in The Sport of the Gods by Paul Laurence Dunbar. **Role:** major **Also known as:** Kit, Kitty, Miss Kitty, Kitty Hamilton **First appearance:** 0000-i-the-hamiltons ## Snapshot Joe's pretty, hopeful sister, Kitty Hamilton arrives in New York innocent and eager, and the city's glittering stages and smooth-talking men begin to claim her almost at once. ## Who they are Kitty is the daughter whose full, rich voice charms the family's new acquaintance Mr. Thomas, and whose shy girlishness makes her mother uneasy about the company they are keeping.
