**Role:** major

**Also known as:** Feriz, the Beg, young Feriz Beg

**First appearance:** 0001-the-slaves-of-the-padishah

## Snapshot

A young Turkish nobleman whose dark eyes work like talismans on captive women, turning slave-girls into warriors who slash instead of kiss.

## Who they are

Feriz Beg stands high in the Sultan's favour and keeps a camp of armed slave-women who fight under canvas without song or dance. The slave-dealer Haji Baba warns buyers to hide their damsels from him, for his enchanting gaze has turned enamoured women into she-devils. His presence threads through the slave market and the Ottoman campaigns, making him a quiet but dangerous force in the early arc.
