> Don Luis Perenna in The Secret of Sarek by Maurice Leblanc.

**Role:** major

**Also known as:** Don Luis, Perenna

**First appearance:** 0001-the-secret-of-sarek

## Snapshot

A resourceful figure who moves through the Sarek mystery with unnerving calm, Don Luis Perenna appears when Véronique's search most needs a hand she cannot explain.

## Who they are

Perenna enters the orbit of Véronique's investigation as an ally whose competence is matched only by his opacity, offering help without fully accounting for his interest. He operates in the space between the official search for Vorski and the private griefs of the d'Hergemont family, a man whose motives remain deliberately unreadable. His presence sharpens the question of whom Véronique can trust as the island's secrets multiply.
