## Who they are

Sir Arthur Vaudrey is the kind of man whose manners and appearance command a room — tall, grey-haired, handsome, with hands and cufflinks that seem to overpower everything around them. His disappearance throws his household into confusion and draws Father Brown into a puzzle where the obvious explanation is the wrong one. The question of what happened to 'Poor Vaudrey' becomes a study in how the truth can hide in plain sight.
