## Snapshot

The Red House housekeeper whose five years of service and firm memory make her a stubborn, unintentional witness to the family's hidden history.

## Who they are

Mrs. Stevens runs the bachelor household with a housekeeper's pride and a sharp eye for what she has and hasn't seen. She insists she has never heard of Mark's brother in five years, a plain fact that quietly contradicts the official story. Her stubborn, unpretentious testimony matters because it establishes the household's baseline of truth against which the later deceptions are measured.
