## Snapshot

A dying landowner who stages his own revenge with terrifying patience, chaining his betrayers together and trusting a manuscript to outlive him.

## Who they are

Sauvresy is the wronged husband who, instead of exposing his wife and friend, arranges a marriage between them and dies blessing them as his guardian angels. His vengeance is meticulous and cruel, and it extends past the grave through papers he entrusts to Plantat. His one miscalculation is Laurence, whom he uses as an instrument without reckoning what Hector would do to her, and that oversight is what keeps the case alive.
