## Snapshot

Styles Court's longtime housekeeper, whose memory for who was where on the fatal night proves as valuable to Poirot as any footprint or fingerprint.

## Who they are

Dorcas has served the Cavendish household for years and knows its rhythms, feuds, and secrets better than anyone alive. She is loyal to her mistress but not blind, and her careful recollections of locked doors, overheard quarrels, and the strange behavior of cocoa cups give Poirot the domestic detail he needs. When the official investigation stalls, it is often Dorcas's plain testimony that quietly redirects the case.
