## Who they are

Fenton Hardy moves through the household like a man already half gone, snapping his club-bag shut and catching a taxi to Chicago on the trail of Baldy Turk. His wife Laura voices a dread she has never felt before, and even his confident laugh can't quite dispel it. When word later reaches the boys that their father has been captured by his enemies, the case stops being an adventure and becomes a race to save the man who taught them everything they know.
