## Snapshot

A young American abroad whose sleepwalking delivers her into Lanyard's room at midnight, and whose candor and courage unsettle his carefully guarded life.

## Who they are

Lucia arrives in Paris as a tourist, dazzled by the rue de la Paix and the beautiful things her family can buy, but her first real adventure is a nocturnal wandering she cannot explain. Her shame at being discovered is matched by a quiet dignity that impresses Lanyard far more than he admits. Her trusting eyes and unguarded gratitude give the reformed thief something to protect—and something to lose—as the intrigue tightens.
