## Snapshot

Eternal sage whose songs shape the world, he journeys even to Death's kingdom to reclaim the lost words of magic.

## Who they are

Wainamoinen is the ancient bard-hero of Kalevala, a singer whose runes carry the force of creation and whose counsel steadies his people. His defining tension is between boundless magical power and a restless, sometimes reckless curiosity: he lies to Tuoni's daughter rather than admit he broke his own sledge, and his pride repeatedly pulls him into danger. His quests for wisdom and the Sampo drive the epic's central arc, making him both its guiding voice and its most humanly flawed hero.
