## Who they are

Nagaina is patient, venomous, and utterly without sentiment, a mother-to-be whose eggs give her a reason to hate the household that killed Nag. She stalks the veranda and the bathroom, waiting for the moment when the man, the woman, and the boy are all within reach. Her vendetta turns the garden into a killing ground and forces Rikki-tikki-tavi into his most desperate fight.
