## Snapshot

The god whose name opens Geo's epic, a deity of the island whose shadow falls across every step of the journey before he is ever seen.

## Who they are

Leptar — also called Argo — is the divine figure at the center of the conflict Geo's poem immortalizes, invoked in the very first lines of The Galactica. He is known through his priests, his incarnations, and the fear and reverence his name commands on the island. The party's journey is, in a sense, a pilgrimage toward him, and the question of what Leptar actually is — god, man, or something stranger — hangs over every encounter on the road.
