# How does The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano develop the theme of Abolition and Advocacy?

> The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano by Olaudah Equiano

## Answer

The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano by Olaudah Equiano develops Abolition and Advocacy across the chapters the companion marks for this theme.

The narrative itself is a political tool, explicitly dedicated to Parliament to inspire compassion and action against the slave trade, making Equiano a key voice in the abolitionist movement.

The dedication is a direct plea for abolition, urging Parliament to act with benevolence.

Equiano's active efforts to free John Annis and his consultation with Granville Sharp demonstrate early abolitionist activism.

Equiano presents a detailed economic case for ending the slave trade and describes his role in the Sierra Leone resettlement project.
