## Who they are

Fotis runs her master's kitchen and, it turns out, knows far more about her mistress Pamphile's witchcraft than a servant should. She is warm, quick-tongued, and entirely willing to trade favors with the handsome guest, teasing him while she stirs the pot and then slipping him into the witch's forbidden cabinet. Her mixture of affection and recklessness is what hands Lucius the ointment that ruins him, making her both the agent of his desire and the cause of his transformation.
