## Who they are

Willoughby arrives at The Pool with the first feather and becomes an uneasy witness to the tangle between Ethne, Durrance, and the absent Harry. He is a practical man of the service, uncomfortable with the emotions his errand stirs. His presence forces Ethne to confront what the feathers mean and how much of her own heart she has been hiding.
