**Role:** supporting

**First appearance:** 0001-the-enchanted-castle

## Snapshot

The young owner of Yalding Towers, Lord Yalding is a reluctant aristocrat whose crumbling estate and hidden treasures make him the castle's uneasy master.

## Who they are

Lord Yalding is the grown-up whose ancestral home the children stumble into, a man saddled with a grand house he cannot quite afford and a family legacy he does not fully understand. He is decent, a little melancholy, and caught between the expectations of his title and the plain wishes of his own heart. His presence turns the children's game into something with real stakes, because the castle's magic and its fortunes are tangled up with his future.
