## Snapshot

The narrator and organizer who buys the Alerte, selects his crew, and turns a dying sailor's secret into a real expedition.

## Who they are

He is the driving will behind the voyage — part dreamer, part meticulous planner, converting a cutter into a yawl and fitting her for a treasure hunt. His curiosity and method carry the reader from Southampton shipyards to the open Atlantic, weighing every rumor against archive and history. Without his voice and resolve, the buried plate of Lima would remain only a story.
