**Role:** supporting

**Also known as:** Peters, a certain Featherstone Peters, General Peters

**First appearance:** 0007-i

## Snapshot

A grizzled ex-Boer fighter and Mines Police captain, tough as jerky and handy with disguises, who becomes one of the field commanders of the Gran Seco rising.

## Who they are

Peters is a fifty-year-old veteran of the South African War and the Macedonian gendarmerie, suspected of gunrunning in Morocco, now a captain of the Mines Police. He introduces the mysterious recruit Black to his troopers and later takes command of the forces fighting in the Mines sector, with Pacheco and Magdalena as his objectives. His hard-bitten competence and willingness to work in the shadows make him exactly the sort of man Blenkiron's democratic army needs when the city falls and the field force divides.
