> Kitty Frensham in The Brooklyn Murders by G. D. H. Cole.

**Role:** supporting

**Also known as:** Kitty, Kitty Frensham Ellery

**First appearance:** 0000-i-a-family-celebration

## Snapshot

A fat-and-forty nightclub enchantress with golden hair and dark eyes, once a Russian archduke's property, now drifting through London's demimonde.

## Who they are

Kitty Frensham is not the ordinary street-crawler Ellery expected; she is clever, fascinating, and most often seen about with Horace Mandleham, the painter. Jaxon describes her as something quite out of the common run, not an honest woman but a very remarkable person, and the search for her draws Ellery into Duke's, the seedy attic nightclub where the latest and most advanced Londoners gather. Her connection to Walter Brooklyn's past makes her a thread the investigation cannot afford to ignore.
