Campbell. **Role:** major **Also known as:** Morey, President Morey, Morey junior, Morey senior, Mr. Morey, the elder Morey, Robert Morey **First appearance:** 0001-the-black-star-passes ## Snapshot The World Government's president and Arcot's trusted ally, he trades the podium for the pilot's seat when the stakes turn interplanetary. ## Who they are Morey commands the era's fragile global order, yet his closest partnership is with Arcot, whose inventions he helps fund and field-test. Aboard the invisible Solarite above Venus, he hesitates at the switch, then hands it to Arcot, admitting his friend thinks two steps ahead. That blend of institutional power and personal humility makes him the story's bridge between Earth's politics and its first contact with alien war. ## Relationships ### [Robert Arcot](https://www.betterreads.dev/discover/the_black_star_passes_se/characters/robert_arcot) _professional_ President Morey is a close colleague and supporter of Arcot's scientific work, often collaborating on high-stakes projects. ### [Wade](https://www.betterreads.dev/discover/the_black_star_passes_se/characters/wade) _professional_ President Morey works closely with Wade as a trusted colleague in scientific and governmental matters. ### [John Fuller](https://www.betterreads.dev/discover/the_black_star_passes_se/characters/john_fuller) _professional_ Fuller and Morey have a professional relationship, collaborating on projects and missions of national importance. ### [Dick](https://www.betterreads.dev/discover/the_black_star_passes_se/characters/dick) _professional_ Dick interacts with President Morey in a professional capacity, often as part of mission briefings or planning. ### [Taj Lamor](https://www.betterreads.dev/discover/the_black_star_passes_se/characters/taj_lamor) _professional_ President Morey interacts with Taj Lamor in a diplomatic or collaborative professional context. ### [Sonor](https://www.betterreads.dev/discover/the_black_star_passes_se/characters/sonor) _professional_ Morey engages with Sonor as part of inter-species cooperation and political relations. ### [Tonlos](https://www.betterreads.dev/discover/the_black_star_passes_se/characters/tonlos) _professional_ Morey has a professional relationship with Tonlos, likely involving diplomacy or joint missions. ### [Lieutenant Wright](https://www.betterreads.dev/discover/the_black_star_passes_se/characters/lieutenant_wright) _professional_ Lieutenant Wright reports to or works under President Morey in a military or governmental capacity. ### [Robert Arcot](https://www.betterreads.dev/discover/the_black_star_passes_se/characters/robert_arcot) _professional_ President Morey is a close colleague and supporter of Arcot's scientific work, often collaborating on high-stakes projects. ### [Robert Arcot](https://www.betterreads.dev/discover/the_black_star_passes_se/characters/robert_arcot) _professional_ President Morey is a close colleague and supporter of Arcot's scientific work, often collaborating on high-stakes projects. ### [Wade](https://www.betterreads.dev/discover/the_black_star_passes_se/characters/wade) _professional_ President Morey works closely with Wade as a trusted colleague in scientific and governmental matters. ### [Dick](https://www.betterreads.dev/discover/the_black_star_passes_se/characters/dick) _professional_ Dick interacts with President Morey in a professional capacity, often as part of mission briefings or planning. ##
