**First appearance:** 0001-ii-in-which-scotland-yard-sits-up-and-takes-notice

## Snapshot

Drummond's old friend at Scotland Yard, known to him as Tum-tum, who receives panicked MPs demanding protection from the Black Gang.

## Who they are

Sir Bryan sits at the uneasy junction of official policing and Drummond's unofficial war, close enough to be teased and senior enough to be useful. He hears Charles Latter's plea for protection and, later, the strange satisfaction that Latter does less harm insane. His friendship with Drummond gives the Gang a thin thread of legitimacy even as the Yard hunts its leader.
