> Algy Longworth in The Black Gang by H. C. McNeile.

**Role:** supporting

**Also known as:** Algy

**First appearance:** 0000-i-in-which-things-happen-near-barking-creek

## Snapshot

Drummond's loyal friend and fellow member of the Black Gang, moving through the same London circles as the men he hunts.

## Who they are

Algy belongs to Drummond's tight circle of allies, the kind of man who can stand at the Ritz entrance and separate into the night on mysterious errands. His presence widens the gang's reach beyond its leader, giving the Black Gang flesh and fellowship rather than a single shadowy figure. He matters because the gang's strength, and its vulnerability, lies in these trusted friendships.
