## Who they are

The Snakes and Spiders are the war made manifest, a high command whose reach extends even into nothingness, mining the Void and canceling cosmic leaves. Their pressure forces the Place toward Introversion, the one switch that means scuttling rather than surrender, and their Change Winds can strip a person green and stinking in five seconds. They are never seen directly, only felt in shortages, traps, and the growing nakedness of Entertainer nerves.
