Chapter 1
The Airlords Besieged
In the spring of 2420 AD, the American forces have reversed the war against the Han Airlords, besieging their cities. Anthony Rogers recounts the ongoing deadlock, the use of advanced technology like disintegrator rays and inertron, and the brutal tactics employed by both sides. The chapter details the siege of Nu-Yok, the challenges of Han convoys and drop ships, and the deep-seated racial hatred that prevents taking prisoners.
Chapter 2
II: The "Ground Ships" Threaten
The American forces, led by Anthony Rogers, receive intelligence about a new Han weapon: ground ships protected by disintegrator ray canopies. A council of Gang Bosses debates tactics and equipment, with Rogers advocating for hand-to-hand combat training and questioning the value of inertron armor. The chapter details various Gang units' specialized gear and the strategic dilemma posed by the Han ground ships.
Chapter 3
III: We "Sink" the "Ground Ships"
The American forces, under the temporary command of Boss Handan, employ a new tactic to destroy the Han ground ships. After an initial nighttime ambush using long-range artillery, the Hans launch a daylight assault with canopy-protected ships. A scout observes that the ships cannot escape deep holes, leading to a strategy of churning the ground ahead of them with time rockets. The Americans encircle and destroy the entire squadron, annihilating the second ground sortie of the Hans.
Chapter 4
IV: Han Electrono-Ray Science
The narrator describes a Han airship equipped with a new armored repeller ray and a superbeam, which attacks American lines. Observing from his inertron shell, the narrator studies the ship's interior and then provides a layman's explanation of the Han's electronic and ionic technology, including the starter, pullee, and sub-disintegrator powers, as well as the repeller ray and disintegrator ray mechanisms.
Chapter 5
American Ultronic Science
The chapter details the advanced scientific achievements of American engineers, who have dissected matter down to the ultronic order and developed synthetic elements ultron and inertron. It explains the principles and construction of ultrophones and ultroscopes, including foco and broadcast batteries, and describes how these technologies enable penetration of obstacles and communication across distances.
