## Snapshot

A cunning feline swindler who feigns blindness and piety while scheming with the Fox to fleece Pinocchio of his gold pieces.

## Who they are

The Cat travels in tandem with the Fox, posing as a respectable but unfortunate companion while secretly orchestrating robberies and cons. When Pinocchio notices her missing paw, she falls silent and lets the Fox spin a tearful lie about self-sacrifice, revealing how the pair manufactures sympathy to manipulate their mark. Her pretended blindness and false virtue embody the story's warning that appearances deceive, and her partnership with the Fox drives the early con that sets Pinocchio on his disastrous path.
