## Snapshot

Mariposa's bustling political candidate, a man whose campaign energy and local prominence make him both a fixture and a foil in the town's electoral drama.

## Who they are

Bagshaw is one of the town's leading political figures, throwing himself into the election campaign with the vigor of a man who believes Mariposa's future hinges on his victory. His ambition and public spirit are genuine, but they sit alongside a self-importance that makes him easy to mock and hard to ignore. In the early arc of the election, he embodies the town's appetite for spectacle and its habit of treating politics as a personal contest, setting the stage for the comic complications that follow.
