## Who they are

The Wyverns dwell unseen within a stone hive of hollows above the sea, their numbers and intentions equally unreadable to the Terran survey team. They treat Shann Lantee's thoughts as both puzzle and prophecy, insisting his dreams were never theirs to set — a claim that unsettles him more than any open threat. Their fragile bodies and gemmed arms conceal a will that quietly steers the story's middle, turning captivity into a test of what dreaming truly means.
