**Role:** supporting

**Also known as:** Ffoulkes, Sir Andrew

**First appearance:** 0000-i

## Snapshot

Sir Percy Blakeney's trusted lieutenant, whose dry wit and readiness for a scrap mask a man already pledged to die for strangers.

## Who they are

Ffoulkes is one of the two most trusted officers of the League of the Scarlet Pimpernel, holed up in filthy disguises in a French attic while an army of soldiers scours the countryside. He trades grime and mock-wrestling with Lord Tony Dewhurst one moment, then waits in silence for Blakeney's orders the next, a boy in his love of adventure and a man in his willingness to make the supreme sacrifice. His steadiness under his chief's command is what makes the League's rescue machinery turn.
