## Who they are

In The Glimpse of Reality, Ferruccio rides into bandit country looking for the man hired to assassinate him, and his furious pride makes him a target even as it makes him dangerous. His father's cynical wager has turned his life into a cheap stake, and the insult of being valued at ten crowns wounds him more than the threat of the sword. His rage and his dawning awareness that he is trapped in someone else's game drive the play's darkly comic meditation on reality and illusion.
