## Who they are

Flopsy is the daughter of Peter Rabbit and mother to six perpetually drowsy bunnies who nap in Mr. McGregor's rubbish heap. When her children are stuffed into a sack and carried off, she and Benjamin Bunny must act fast, nibbling a hole in the corner and substituting rotten marrows and a blacking-brush for the stolen rabbits. Her quick thinking turns a near-tragedy into a comic triumph, and her family's escape sets up the satisfying comeuppance of the McGregors.
