## Who they are

Alexander is the carefree brother whose love of amusement makes him late for market and careless with his precious travel papers. When Pigling Bland discovers Alexander's paper in his own pocket and races back to find him, he loses his way entirely, ending up lost in a hen house and captured by the sinister Mr. Piperson. Alexander's thoughtlessness is the hinge on which the story turns, separating the brothers and plunging Pigling into the adventure that will define him.
