Survival and Resilience

Characters like Jon Venex, the rusted robot Dik, and the stranded astronauts face physical and social hardships, yet they persist, adapt, and find small moments of hope or humor in dire circumstances.

Jon's resourcefulness in repairing his own leg, navigating the job market, and escaping a dangerous situation demonstrates his determination to survive in a hostile world.
