## Who they are

Darnu sits in a temple whose walls record the movements of 999,998 brothers in darkness, each act forewritten, each desire anticipated. He resolves to prove his inner liberty by refusing food, water, and motion itself, clenching his teeth against the falling fruit. His stubborn immobility becomes the story's central argument: whether a man can outlast the invisible Necessity that laughs at him from the shadows.
