## Who they are

Lars Larsson arrives at the wedding looking like a gentleman, but his face is lined by hard struggle, and he knows his position is not secure. When Jan Öster, a poor fiddler from a wretched hovel, appears uninvited, Lars refuses to begin the Wedding March, insisting the honor belongs to the other man.
