What happens

Mrs. Brown, a determined British matron, struggles to care for her ailing husband Mr. Brown in a Paris hotel on Christmas Eve. Despite his complaints about his throat, she resolves to fetch mustard from the salon to relieve him. After getting lost, she encounters a night porter and fabricates a story about a lost handkerchief to avoid admitting her true mission, but ultimately resolves to return for the mustard.
