## Snapshot

A wealthy hostess whose obsession with a single Byzantine omelette collides with a household strike on the eve of a duke's visit.

## Who they are

Sophie has staked her dinner — and her reputation — on one emergency chef who alone can produce a Byzantine omelette for the Duke of Syria. When the household staff down tools over his strikebreaking past, her meticulous hospitality unravels mid-hairdo. Her panic is comic but precise: a portrait of privilege meeting organized labor, and of a woman discovering that even her maid belongs to a union.
